In May 2023, the Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced a $2.4 million grant to the Craig Field Airport & Industrial Authority toward building renovations for a remote air traffic control academy. The investment will bring 119 new jobs and generate $7 million in private investment.

Seoyon E-Hwa Interior Systems Alabama, a Hyundai supplier and resident of Craig Industrial Park announced the addition of 60 new jobs and a capital investment of $4,200,000 into the community in May 2023. The company manufactures several kinds of plastic interior parts, especially inside door trims, for Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama.
