AIDT is an award-winning statewide workforce development resource that provides a wide range of customized technical training programs at no cost to Alabama employers and their trainees. This internationally acclaimed program has trained over 100,000 workers from 800 companies.

In January 2023, Resicum International announced a planned Aviation Training Academy at Craig Field Airport in Dallas County. Aviation training provided at the Academy will include avionics training, flight training (fixed and rotor wing), and certificate courses for aviation maintenance skill-building. Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS) in Selma, Alabama offers a range of industrial training programs. Some of the industrial training programs offered by WCCS include Industrial Maintenance, Welding Technology, and Electrical Technology. WCCS is also home to the Alabama Technology Network (ATN) and offers Pre-Employment Training and Incumbent Worker Training.
